Our Next Meeting, More to Come

Holidays are long past and it’s time we get back into things. I should be posting on the blog in the future as I’ll have more to talk about concerning games and the project friends and I are beginning work on. I will be sharing as much as possible concerning the development and progress of this game. Our next meeting will be on February 2nd at 6:30PM in Venture Hyannis conference room. Please send an email to rsvp@capecodxna.org if you are planning on attending. Also there a couple of contests going on with XNA if your interested visit dreambuildplay.com for the details. There’s prize money and publishing contracts up for grabs so if you think you think you have a shot I’d most definitly recommend giving it a go as I myself plan on doing(That project ;) ). During our next meeting I’d like to discuss what our schedule will look like going forward and the possibilty of working on a game within the group are if anyones interested. We should have good times ahead of us.

Also anyone who would like to carpool to other gaming events in the region, I can fit myself and up to four others. Places worth checking out are our sister/brother(Maybe I should ask Mike which he’d rather be?) XNA group, Boston XNA,  and also Boston Post Mortem. Boston Post Mortem will be meeting tomorrow and I plan to go and if anyone would be interested in joining don’t be afraid to toss me and email at tomkennedy@capecodxna.org or twitter @tomk2007(i’ll be posting my twitter as a link on the side, please note this is a personal account and as you may have noticed from my lack of blogging I’m a tad internet shy).

I’ll be looking forward to the 2th and seeing everyone at the meeting. :)

Meeting Time!

So two and a half hours till our meetingis underways at Venture Hyannis. Look forward to seeing everyone and if you’d like to come in early I’m already on location doing a bit of coding for a new game.

See you all Soon! :)

Our Next Meeting

We have set a date for our next meeting, November 20th. Michael Cummings of the Boston XNA User Group will be coming down to speak to us. I will have more to say about the meeting once I am able to get more details on what Michael will be speaking about. In the meantime I would recommend checking out the Boston XNA Group as you can also find a good amount of information about our future speaker and XNA on their website.
Look forward to seeing everyone!

Rescheduling

So the meeting has been pushed to Friday the 23rd, it will be taking place 6:30 at Venture in Hyannis, look forward to seeing everyone there. :-)

Getting Started

Hello and welcome to the Cape Cod XNA homepage. I’ve set this up as a blog to promote an open casual relationship directed around open discussions. With a blog I can sound off quickly and efficiently(all the programmers will understand this) with an easy route of reverse communication via the commenting. I will be posting our planned meetings and sharing my feelings on games, game design, programming, and the industry overall.

So our first meeting is coming up on October 21st where we’ll discuss the pre-production/design of a game. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

Have a good Columbus Day weekend
